IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR TRAVEL PREPARATIONS:

1. CHECK-IN TIME
is 90 minutes before the scheduled time of departure. Exceptions are published in the timetables. If you have not reported for check-in by the issued time, the carrier may dispose otherwise of your seat.

2. WARSAW CONVENTION:
If the passenger’s journey involves an ultimate destination or stop in a country other than the country of departure the Warsaw Convention may be applicable and the Convention governs and in most cases limits the liability of the carriers for death or personal injury and in respect of loss or of damage to baggage. The Transportation is subject to the applicable Conditions of Contract as well as other conditions of LTU. These can be obtained from any LTU office or by internet under www.ltu.de.

3. IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
For security and safety reasons only one piece of hand baggage 55 x 40 x 20 cm, not heavier than 8 kg, is allowed in the cabin. You are also allowed to carry one small size handbag/purse, one coat, cap and blanket, one umbrella or walking stick, one pair of crutches and one small camera/binoculars. An infant’s carrying basket or invalid’s fully collapsible wheelchair, will be carried free in the cargo compartment.
No firearms of any kind are allowed onboard. This applies to scissors, pocket-knives etc. We are not obliged to act as a custodian for any objects rejected by the security officers. Any medicines possibly required, important documents or items should be carried in your hand baggage. Under no circumstances can we accept liability for such items.
Loss or damage to items of baggage must be notified to us immediately on receipt. Your complaint will immediately be recorded in writing on a P.I.R (Property Irregularity Report). The P.I.R forms the basis for any claims against us. If an immediate claim for loss or damage is not possible, you are obliged to lodge the complaint within a period of 7 days.

4. DANGEROUS GOODS IN PASSENGER BAGGAGE:
For safety reasons, the following articles or materials may not be carried in passenger baggage:
- briefcases and security type attaché cases with installed alarm devices, or integral lithium batteries and/or pyrotechnic materials;
- explosives, munitions, fireworks and flares;
- gases (inflammable, non-inflammable, deeply refrigerated and poisonous) such as camping gas and aerosols;
- inflammable liquids, such as lighter fuels, paints and thinners;
- inflammable solids, such as matches and other easily inflammable articles, substances liable to spontaneous combustion, substances which in contact with water emit inflammable gases;
- oxidising substances (such as bleaching powder and peroxides);
- poisonous (toxic) and infectious substances;
- radioactive materials;
- corrosives (such as mercury, which may be contained in thermometers, acids, alkalis and wet-cell batteries);
- magnetised materials and miscellaneous dangerous goods as listed in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
The above regulations do not apply to medicines and medical appliances, toiletries, smoking utensils (except gasoline cigarette lighters), alcoholic drinks, provided theses are carried in small quantities for personal use. Many of these listed articles can be carried as air cargo provided they are packed in accordance with cargo regulations.
